I’ve been a storyteller most of my life, beginning with music and theatre in my early years, and moving on to really atrocious attempts at SciFi writing in my early teens. When the Muse behind Of Ashes and Dust tapped my shoulder, though, I knew that writing would become the primary medium through which I would share my stories.
In the years since then, I’ve completed four manuscripts–three historicals and one contemporary–all the while improving my craft (and thickening my skin). Many more are in the cue, their respective muses hanging out by the creativity pool, getting sloppy on Sangria while waiting for me to start on their stories. I promise: I’ll get to you as soon as I can. And more fruit and triple sec are on the way.
I am about writing with purpose. It is important, of course, to entertain one’s readers, but it’s equally important that the person who closes the book is not the same one who opened it. The reader’s mind should be stretched and expanded, their world should be a little bigger, their outlook a bit brighter.
Thank you for being a part of this grand adventure into storytelling. I hope you enjoy what I have to offer.
